The context
The main requirement for the Pontifical Lateran University was to limit the huge number of keys to access all rooms inside its University and Library. The University Chancellor had been struck by a special locking system during a recent trip in Germany.
Our contribution
The solution was already in Italy, and it was the ISEO’s electronic cylinder. All problems were solved by just one key ensuring access to all rooms as well as control over any unauthorized access. The electronic cylinder ensured higher security and flexibility since it can be completely programmed and disabled. This also solved the problem of the continuous staff turnover.
The results
The Vatican University was so pleased about ISEO’s solutions that it decided to install the new electronic cylinders on all doors. Other works are under study.
